Six (6) female clubs- Blamawo Angels, Prince United, Jam Jam FC, Kahunla Queens, Skyrich FC and Kpetewoma Queens, will battle in this year’s Kenema District Football Association’s (KDFA) female league.
The tournament which has already kicked-off yesterday, Wednesday, 21st June 2017, at Pastoral Center (Seminary field) is playing on a knock-out basis with a provision for the best losers of the three clashes.
Blamawo Angels and Prince United started the ball rolling on Wednesday while Jam Jam FC will take on Kahunla Queens today June 22 and on Friday, Skyrich FC will have to entertain Kpetewoma Queens at the same venue.
According to the KDFA head of media, Osman Hardy Jalloh, a meeting with all the female club owners was held last Saturday June 17 at the Kenema City Council Conference room, where the officials were briefed about all the necessary information of the competition.
He said: “Six clubs will participate in the competition with the winner guaranteed a place in the national competition to be held in Makeni and Kono districts respectively. The competition will be played on knock-out basis, with provision for ‘Best Loser’.”
Jalloh said the tournament is a way of complementing the Sierra Leone Football Association’s effort in taking female football to another level in the country.

- Wednesday, 21/6/2017: Blamawo Angels vs Prince United
- Thursday, 22/6/2017: Jam Jam FC vs Kahunla Queens
- Friday, 23/6/2017: Skyrich FC vs Kpetewoma Queens
All matches kick off at 4:30pm.
