SLFA Presidential hopeful Sanusi Bruski Kargbo
Presidential aspirant for the upcoming Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) elective congress, Sanusi Bruski Kargbo, has said they will only offer the current SLFA administration a-two-week grace period to conduct an elective congress when their term will expire on August 3 2017.
Kargbo issued the strong warning to the Isha Johansen led administration at his official declaration ceremony for the SLFA presidency last Friday at Victoria Park in Freetown.
“We are getting rumours from the other camp of their proposed bid to FIFA in postponing the elections till December. We are giving them a clear message now that they only have a limited time at the secretariat until 3rd August when their term shall expire,’ he said.
“We are making it clear that we are going to give them only two weeks which they must use in conducting elections. Failure to do so, the law will duly take its course.”
The East End Lions F.C Chairman said the country’s football needs to be sustained and in achieving such, there was need to elect someone who is financially equip and capable of accounting for every money allocated to the development of football in the country.
He said Sierra Leoneans need someone who has respect for the membership of the Football Association and someone who doesn’t intimidates or falsely suspends referees- a quality he claimed to possess.
He also pledged his willingness to spend his own time and investment to see the country’s football return to its glorious days.
“I will send this message to you all, when elected as the next SLFA president, I will not be going for any revenge or be at spar with anyone. I will be the unifier in our beautiful game. My main aim will be to restore Sierra Leone back to its place in Africa and the World at large,” the SKFA presidential hopeful affirmed
Kargbo also in his declaration stated that he will ensure the game play all around the country from all division including female league.
